Successful Defense of Milad Sabamehr’s PhD Research Proposal
We are pleased to announce that Milad Sabamehr, PhD student, has successfully defended his research proposal titled:
“Machine Learning in Control and Modeling of PEM Electrolyzers.”
This milestone marks the beginning of a promising research journey focused on the application of Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) for robust modeling and advanced control of PEM electrolyzers in hydrogen production systems.
We extend our sincere thanks to his supervisors, Professor Maria Serra Prat and Dr. Carles Batlle, for their continuous support and expert guidance throughout the development of this work.
We also express our appreciation to the members of the evaluation committee — Professors Ramon Costa Castelló, Andreu Cecilia Piñol, and Cecilio Angulo — for their constructive feedback, critical insights, and thought-provoking questions that helped strengthen and refine the research approach.
This research contributes to the advancement of sustainable energy systems, with a special focus on hydrogen technologies as a key energy vector for the future.
